Several students have completed the MassHire Southeast Region 6 Virtual Welding course and received their OSHA 10 Certification and Hot Work Certificates. Funded through the Baker Polito Administration with a grant from the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development. This free, virtual, and hands-on course gave the students a basic understanding of metal fabrication and welding. Students that completed the program are currently interviewing for in-demand jobs at advanced manufacturing companies throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.
